CLONING
By searching human EST databases with C. elegans Lrrc35, followed by PCR
of a human testis cDNA library, Bartolini et al. (2005) cloned LRRC35,
which they named E (TBCE; 604934)-like. The deduced 425-amino acid
protein shares 23% amino acid identity with TBCE and contains a
leucine-rich repeat followed by a ubiquitin-like motif. Northern blot
analysis detected a 6.0-kb transcript with high expression in testis and
much lower expression in heart, liver, spleen, and muscle.

CLONING
By searching human EST databases with C. elegans Lrrc35, followed by PCR
of a human testis cDNA library, Bartolini et al. (2005) cloned LRRC35,
which they named E (TBCE; 604934)-like. The deduced 425-amino acid
protein shares 23% amino acid identity with TBCE and contains a
leucine-rich repeat followed by a ubiquitin-like motif. Northern blot
analysis detected a 6.0-kb transcript with high expression in testis and
much lower expression in heart, liver, spleen, and muscle.
GENE FUNCTION
